Mildred G. Calhoun

Nannie Elizabeth Stone was born on 18 Dec 1888 in Mississippi. She married Boone Calhoun on 12 Aug 1910. Boone was born in 1889 and died in 1965. Nannie and Boone had at least seven children and they were:

          Mildred G. Calhoun - She was born in 1911 and died in 1927.

          William Calhoun - He was born 6 Feb 1913. He continued the Calhoun Boat Works, builder of the famous Reelfoot Lake boat. His son, Dale, received a National Heritage Foundation fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. President Clinton wrote him a letter of congratulations and he and his wife, Joanne, went to Washington, D. C. to receive this at a formal event in the east room of the White House. Mrs Hillary Clinton presented the awards. In 1986, he was invited to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D. C. to build a boat as part of the "Festival of American Folklife".

          Harry Calhoun - He was born 27 Apr 1914. No other information is known.

          Arthur Boone Calhoun, (Jr.) - He was born 18 Dec 1917. He married Muriel ? and currently lives in Michigan.

          Sarah Lee Calhoun - He was born 30 Oct 1922. She is deceased.

          Raymond Ralph Calhoun - He was born 26 Nov 1924. He is deceased.

          Betty Calhoun - She was born 12 Aug 1930. She died in 1978.

Nannie Elizabeth died 14 Oct 1936 and is buried in Cobbs Chapel in Obion Co., Tennessee.
